In response to recent newspaper articles in the Indian press, Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet has written a number of editorial responses and essays dealing with the ancient Vedic scriptures and the timely application of their eternal truths in contemporary cultural and political life.

ball Fullness vs. Emptiness; In Defense of the Ancient Culture: In this article, Ms. Norelli-Bachelet responds to a two-part series, entitled, An Open Letter to Bangaru Laxman, that appeared in The Hindu, ( one of India's leading newspapers) (10-11.10.2000), written by Gail Omvedt.

ball The Burden of a Destiny: This article was written for a Hyderabad based journal on the on the 75th anniversary of the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh).

ball The Sanctity of Materialism: This article was in response to Debashis Chakrabarti’s Hindutva: The religious incongruity (The Hindu, 6.2.2001) . In his article, Chakrabarti seeks to drive a wedge between ancient Indian culture and the contemporary by describing the Rigvedic culture as an ancient naturalism of primitive, nomadic and pastoral Aryan/Indo-European tribes.

ball The Seeds of Undermining:  This essay was written in October 1989 and published in The Vishaal Newsletter of Aeon Centre of Cosmology. Given the current interest in the questions it raises, it is being published again for a wider audience. The cosmology providing the backdrop for this analysis is not treated in this essay. Suffice to state that it is on the order of a ‘new astrology for a new age’. Accordingly, though written before the collapse of the Soviet Union, or the decade of political instability India experienced, the text has a certain prophetic ring. The reader may judge just how timely these questions have become, and whether or not any progress has been made in rectifying the decay in details.

ball The Emerging Cosmos: In 'The Emerging Cosmos', Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet pierces into the core of the collective chaos of modern civilization and exposes the root cause of our problems. Her examination reveals that the malaise, purposelessness and confusion which define our modern world is the direct outcome of our past mystic and spiritual perceptions.

ball Transcendence and the Immanence of the One:  In this essay, Ms. Norelli-Bachelet deals with what, for centuries, has been disconnected from traditional spirituality, the question of Time and Measure. Using excerpts from the Rig Veda and Bhagavad Gita, she unveils the Rishi's profound understanding of TIME and defines its role as the vehicle which integrates the Spiritual and Physical dimensions.
